Young Democrats Getting to Work!

At Noon on Sunday, May 1, Wake County Superior Court Judge Michael Morgan administered the oath of office to myself and the other members of the 2011-2012 Executive Board of the Young Democrats of North Carolina. I am humbled to serve as the 68th President of our organization, and I am honored to serve with my fellow board members.

Front Row: National Committeewoman Montica Talmadge, NCDP Chair David Parker, National Committeeman Andy Ball.
Second Row: Secretary Rick Ingram, President Sam Spencer
Third Row: Treasurer John R. R. Owens, Vice President Sharron Bryant

I am pleased to report that we got to work immediately. The YDNC Executive Committee convened at 12:45 PM on Sunday to conduct the business of the organization. At the meeting, we appointed Committee Chairs and Congressional District Chairs, and continued a planning process that will enable Democratic Victories in 2011 and 2012.

We have a lot of work ahead of us, but the year ahead looks brighter with these talented individuals stepping up to serve the Young Democrats of North Carolina.

I also wanted to take a second to thank everyone on BlueNC who has supported myself or YDNC over the years. We're not going anywhere, and we're counting on you to continue to be a strong online voice for progress in North Carolina. I sincerely hope you’ll join us in being a part of this exciting year for Democrats.

Cheers,

Sam Spencer
President, Young Democrats of North Carolina

Congrats, Mr. President!

It's not only the YDNC that will benefit from your leadership, the Party as a whole gains, as well.

Thanks to Sam and the others...

...for coming out to the Haywood County Dem Rally Saturday at Tuscola HS.
