You'll never guess who is threatening anti-war congressmen/women

Which politician said just days ago that they would refuse to support those in congress who voted "no" to the most recent spending bill for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan?

A. George W. Bush
B. John McCain
C. Dick Cheney
D. Barack Obama

If you thought A,B,or C. Sorry. If you guessed D. (Barack Obama) you are correct!

As a close vote neared on a supplemental funding bill for more war in Iraq and Afghanistan, the San Francisco Chronicle reported that "the White House has threatened to pull support from Democratic freshmen who vote no." In effect, it was so important to President Obama to get the war funds that he was willing to paint a political target on the backs of some of the gutsiest new progressives in Congress.

I find it shameful that the democratic "leadership" who rightfully attacked Bush's foreign policy and, who promised to end the wars, is threatening it's own people. Honestly though, I am not really surprised. This is simply more evidence that Obama is just another shill working for the same elites that worked with Bush.

Peace action

time for the anti-war movement to start organizing again

I think that we are morally obligated

to correct some of the wrong we have committed in Iraq/Afghanistan. We can't just walk away and leave those people with the mess we have created.
