WNCNN made top story on the WLOS 11:00 News last night - above the Buncombe County Sheriff's debate! Woo-hoo!!! syntax's blog Comments This rocks! I am so disappointed that they chose to show the Taylor actor clip instead of some of the other great stuff. Those young voters are just saying what folks want, you know they love it!!! That professor is about a decade behind - there are no undecided voters, just sheeple. CountryCrats - my thoughts, my blog. Jesus Swept ticked me off. Too short. I loved the characters and then POOF it was over. -me You take the good with the "meh", I guess Yeah, I'm guessing that they just watched the two clips on the WNCNN account that had the most traffic, which would have been the first episode and the debate video. But still, top story last night!!! I love Darcel Grimes: "YouTube is a computer website..." - Well, no $#!+, Sherlock! All websites are computer websites by definition. I've never seen an HTML document open on a CNC grinder... "we're banging pots and pans / to make you understand / we're gonna bury you, man" ScruHoo! I was really bummed when I got to work just now... but this cheered me up. I love Darcel Grimes: "YouTube is a computer website..." - Well, no $#!+, Sherlock! I loved the characters and then POOF it was over. -me I know Mark West from grad school. He's usually not that simplistic. wow That guy is an idiot. Their whole report is based upon an assumption by some guy who believes that political ads on TV always involve the truth. I mean come on. HelpLarry.com "Keep the Faith" Yup He also referred to youtube as the "wild west" and somewhat "frightening." Give.me.a.break. NOTHING is more "frightening" than the corrupt status quo who has all of the power and money. The fact is, we see far less of the truth in "official" ads than from the grassroots. Ya, this guy seems to be recyclying the same old "nutroots" argument. WHATever. It's still great that WNCNN was given top billing and good exposure for Shuler, a candidate of the people! Woo Hoo, we're considered younger voters!!!! MSM just hasn't or maybe just doesn't want to realize how powerful the blogs are yet! Combine the fact that we can educate ourselves about a candidate, Citizen Journalism and Vlogs and well....their opinion spinning is going.....going..... No matter that patriotism is too often the refuge of scoundrels. Dissent, rebellion, and all-around hell-raising remain the true duty of patriots. LOL! I'll take that label 42 years old=younger voter! ha. ;) I agree, this guy seems a bit out of touch with people powered/internet powered politics. OK....so what's the problem with youtube firing up the blog base? So what if it doesn't reach the general public at first? Is there anything wrong with firing up the internet base? Why shouldn't we be entertained?Click on the hat to see all Citizen Journalist files *************************** Vote Democratic! The ass you save may be your own. WLOS did Shuler three great favors I'm still laughing my ass off. As someone emailed me earlier, Screwy's gonna crap his pants. So, what happened last night? WLOS showed Taylor's empty chair. They showed Shuler talking about his family. And in the top story of the night, they matter-of-factly said Shuler was ahead ahead in the polls. The campaign could never ever hope to buy such coverage. AND while telling everyone the blogs have no influence, running it as the top story (and teasing about it all night) they gave blogs/WNCNN more influence in the district (particularly among non-computer people) than they could ever hope to have (at least in this campaign cycle). And who the hell thinks WNCNN is "targeting" non-voting youth or the undecided? Whatever . . . I can't stop laughing. “All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players.” So enjoy the Drama. Just talking about the polling numbers is great for Heath. Adds enthusiasm to his supporters, depresses Taylor's folks, and gives a gentle nudge to those undecided who want to vote for the winner. I just don't know how Darcel has kept her job there for so long. WLOS is particularly lightweight with its news coverage.
