The deadly cost of conservative ideology:

FWIW, the NC House would have passed it, and there are enough votes in the NC Senate for it to pass, but Phil Berger made this life and death decision to block Medicaid Expansion by himself. You look up the word "Hubris" in the dictionary, and it shows his picture in the margin.
99 Percent of North Carolinians Don’t Take Public Transit to Work@jonpsanders #NCGA #NCPOL https://t.co/jcINTI54ZB
— John Locke Foundation (@JohnLockeNC) October 21, 2019
Quite possibly the stupidest headline to come out of the Locker Room this year, and that's saying a lot. The average commute time in NC is just under 24 minutes, but the percentage of people who actually *could* get from home to work via public transit is probably less than 1%. What Sanders doesn't mention is that nationally, 5% of people use public transportation to go to work.
In other words, we aren't spending enough on public transit, something I could have told you before reading the above nonsense.
If it wasn’t for the @ncinsider I would miss stories like the Madison County Library Snakes, which is definitely the #NCPOL story of the week

Welp, Renee is still as clueless as she was before. Not only is Lewandowski an admitted liar (to Congress, no less), he's also not above assaulting a woman who gets in his way:
According to the affidavit filed by detective Marc Bujnowski, surveillance video of the incident "parallels what Fields had told me, in that Trump was walking towards the exit of the ballroom, taking questions and signing autographs. Fields is seen on video, holding her phone up to Trump, appearing to ask him a question... Lewandowski then grabbed Fields left arm with his right hand, causing her to turn and step back. This motion cleared a path for Lewandowski to walk past Fields, allowing him to 'catch up' and get closer to Trump, who was walking during this entire incident."
I'm not a big fan of violence, but this dude is in dire need of an ass-kicking...
Let’s keep our children safe: State troopers will emphasize safety around school zones and buses this week during North Carolina's annual "Operation Stop Arm" enforcement effort. https://t.co/0KehQ98wmU #ncpol #nced
— Rep. Sarah Stevens (@RepSarahStevens) October 21, 2019
Yes, let's keep our children safe. You can start by passing some common-sense gun regulations in NC, and then maybe add several hundred more nurses for schools, and some mental health professionals, etc., instead of pushing for teachers to carry guns in class. Because damn.
News outlet deems election maps fair -- Republicans respond out of the woodwork on social media with positivity. Judges declare maps unfair to begin with -- they're activists! It's a lie! Oh, North Carolina. #ncga #ncpol https://t.co/cWYyBDMWfD

Yah, Republicans have about as much memory as a Commodore 64 computer. Don't try and figure it out, that way lies madness. Geremy sez:

I agree, but Republican leadership has had ample time to bring it to the floor for a vote, and they haven't done it yet. I don't see them doing it in the next week and a half, but I'd love to be proven wrong.

Hopefully he won't even make it to the General Election. But either way, it's going to be a hella expensive race. Meanwhile, we'll have close to 200 other races (state and federal) to also support, and every dang one of them is important.
