Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone. My Dad said if I wanted to I could tell you something here. I just got home last week from a cruise to and from the Persian Gulf and my Dad has shown me the stuff he wrote about our cruise here. I got to read what you wrote back and you guys are really nice.

I got a chance today to read what you all said and I just wanted to say thanks. I'm so glad I'm home. I'm only based about 3 1/2 hours from our house so it's not a big deal getting back and forth. A lot of the guys on my ship are from the midwest or out west and so they don't get to go home as much. Some of my good buddys go home with me on our days off when we are in port. They get a chance to sleep in a real bed and and get to eat some good not Navy food.

Thanks again for your kind words. Being home for Christmas is better than you might think. Being home is better than anything.
