SUSA Confirms. Larry is UP!!!!

Survey USA is out with some congressional polls today, and they have great news!!!

Larry Kissell (D): 49
Robin Hayes (R-inc): 41
Thomas Hill (L): 6
Undecided: 4
(MoE: ±4%)

They also show a 9 point Obama lead. That is an 18 point swing from 2004, a swing that is necessary to explain the lead statewide that many firms are showing.

I highly doubt that Hill will get 6 percent on election day, but will those 6 percent really go to Hayes? I doubt it.

We have just under a month to get Larry into office. For those who didnt give 11 bucks when the DCCC poll came out, now is the time to give 8!

Update - 24 hours after changing this race from a Lean Republican seat to a Tossup, Chris Bowers at OpenLeft (formerly of MyDD) has today upgraded NC-08 to a Lean Dem!!!!

Great news about Larry and Obama.

John McCain looks like a guy whose head you can barely see over the steering wheel...looks like the guy who thinks the nurses are stealing his stuff. 'Dad, why would they take your socks? It doesn't make sense.' Letterman

Jesus Swept ticked me off. Too short. I loved the characters and then POOF it was over.

Shouldn't SUSA know that?

Why poll a candidate that won't be on the ballot 30 days out.

To be fair, it's an unusual situation

Hill was on the ballot, then took himself off just before the deadline to run for another office.

An independent pollster wouldn't necessarily have all the up to date inside baseball.

Thanks Steve

I knew he had dropped out, but I didnt know whether he was still gonna be on the ballot or not.

I can't wait for November 4th.

Just checked out my sample ballot on SBOE...

..and just two candidates listed for the 8th District.

I encourage everyone to check out their sample ballot so you can be sure you know about every race before you step inside the booth. Still unsure about my school board race (don't know anything about the candidates except who has more sign and one of the Dem state legislators I know recommended the GOP incumbent as good).
