Skinny on the Budget

While the N&O tries to drum up some controversy surrounding this year's budget, the budget is really a middle of the road bill that generated true bi-partisan support. My biggest problem with it would be lack of large initiatives, other than the great teacher's raise. The W-S Journal prepared the graph attached to this post that shows the main points of the budget, and they are all good things: lower taxes, more spending, higher teacher pay, building funds for our universities, and more education funding coming from the lottery.

It's there

At least, there's a Satellite.gif in there. Make sure you're using a capital S!

Okay, so we can argue on the lottery

Or whether having the funding coming in is a good thing all and all, but the extra funding is a good thing if we ignore who the state got it.
