Senate Candidate Jim Neal musses Party Chair Jerry Meek's hair during his comments to the Executive Committee Meeting of the NC Democratic Party on January 26, 2008.

Jim fired the crowd up!

It was a good speech and he received a standing ovation...(well from a bunch of hooligans in the back anyway).

Agreed

I thought so too; then again, I'm biased. :)

Betsy, you missed a great convention!

Remember a little over a year ago when we were begging politicians for interview time? Today, almost every candidate there made sure to introduce themselves to us. We invited each and every one of them to come to BlueNC and introduce themselves to all of us. You and A and all FPers here have really made a difference in NC politics and the rest of us are the beneficiaries.

I remember, Sweetie....I really do

It's really kinda hard to believe that it's happened so quickly, but it isn't the fp team that's made it happen. It's the community as a whole. I truly and honestly believe that. Glad you got to go. I'll be at the Meck Co and Union Co conventions and the state convention, but doubt I'll make any others.

"They took all the trees and put them in a tree museum Then they charged the people a dollar 'n a half just to see 'em. Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got till it's gone? They paved paradise and put up a parking lot."

Oh Yeah!

You vanished!

I was sittin'

with my county peeps. :) But I already promised Mo I'd be sittin' with my blueNC peeps in June.

I choose to be inspired.

Sorry Frank...

I didn't find your car in time to hit it in the rear....

Next time Leslie, you'll sit with us....right?

Lcloud and I got to talk with Beth Wood who's running for state auditor. She's never visited BlueNC but has been told that "they don't like Mr. Merritt very much." Of course we invited her to visit BlueNC and possibly live-blog. She was all for that. Kay Hagan introduced herself to us also. She said that she would be willing to live-blog with us too. I really hope they all do what they say.

I do apologize for the length of my ruckus with the paper ballot counting and all. I didn't get home until about 8:30 so I paid for it as well.

Person County Democrats

Hey, I did s'plain in the NCDP SEC gut check

post. I hope I lived up to your sig line today. Seemed like I was being rather "patriot"-ic in the Momo tradition.

I am curious to know what I missed while I was with the vote counting crew. That seemed to take forever.

That you did, Person Dem.

I was glad someone was bringing it up, and when I realized it was you! Whoo hoo! I wanted to cheer - that's one of us!

Great to see everyone today - truly wonderful to put faces to names. :::waving to armywife, angrygrrl::::
