Partial Victory on Land Sale: More Action to Win Forever

It looks like the backbone of our local Democratic officials and online activities have postponed the propsed forest sale:

Agriculture Under Secretary Mark Rey recently announced that the public will have another month to comment on a list of forest lands that would be available for sale in a proposal to provide funding to extend the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act of 2000 (SRS).

Now that we have the sale postponed, we need to make sure that it ends forever. Take Action with Southern Dem's original action plan to save our forests. Let's make sure that the Forest Service does not think that there is a loss of interest because the sale was postponed.

Thanks for the update. Let's not forget that the people who want these lands sold have the cash to hire lawyers and write lengthy comments full of selectively used data and science. They also get another month.

But, on a more serious note, has the USFS not heard from Taylor that the plan is dead? If they've heard that he'll kill it, why the charade of public comment for a project doomed to die?
