Slammed it Liddy!

She is hiding behind the Bobcat bench down in Charlotte until the April Navy hearing is over on OLF.
The rumor on the street is that she is the last round draft choice in the free agent NBA pool. The scouting report says she can't move to the Left because of a hip rap move. And as to the move to the Right, the bidders are saying she can't focus on the Republican foul line anymore with a laser light mind like her husband.
Me thinks the NBA is closing in on her race.
OMG. Most excellent, indeed!
That is probably THE best post I've seen on the NCDP blog in forever. Whoever wrote that post and came up with that map ... absolutely brilliant. You get the bullseye snark-a-licious truth teller prize for today!! :-)
A ... can
weyou come up with a seal for a Snark-a-licious Truth Teller prize?"They took all the trees and put them in a tree museum Then they charged the people a dollar 'n a half just to see 'em. Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got till it's gone? They paved paradise and put up a parking lot."

This is what happens when OUR party chair decides to reach out to the blogs, and expand the party's presence in all facets of online life.

Does Liddy have enough money to do anything?

Most Excellent Indeed!
Looks like the NO OLF movement is getting bigger thanks to all the dedicated people the keep it loud....and our very own Anglico! Good for the NCDP!
No matter that patriotism is too often the refuge of scoundrels. Dissent, rebellion, and all-around hell-raising remain the true duty of patriots.

Who knows Mel Watt?
. . . and perhaps, what he thinks about this decision by the Congressional Black Caucus to legitimize Fox News by using them for a presidential debate.
I am firmly in the camp that Fox News should be granted nothing whatsoever by anybody. This decision by the CBC greatly diminishes my confidence in the organization. Of course I'm just a white guy, so who cares what I think?
Well, Mel? What's the deal?
like the Blue Dogs and other groups
they often seem to put their special interests above those of the party and their constituents.

What's up with this?
From this morning's N&O:"A Senate bill seeks to strip insurance commissioner's authority to set rates"
Any skinny?
".......Long predicted the bill will be unpopular with consumers. "The reaction we are getting from senators right now is: 'What?' " he said."
Just what we need. One more thing to keep track of - anyone know anything more than the paper?
Holy crap
This seems bizarre. Maybe one of our progressive representatives in the Senate or House can shed some light on this.
Commissions
Our insurance commission and our utility commission are our last line of defense against impropriety.
Compromise those - we are *******, blued, and tattooed.
Those are negotiating commissions working on behalf of the people. They don't give carte blanche to the people or the industries - they seek beneficial compromise to both sides.
They must stay interference free.
Criminey.
The Fix
has its list of top 10 endagered seats. The good news, Larry is on the list. The better news, Heath isnt.

Ooo I'll have to go see if it's changed
He posted the list in December or January, I think. Was so happy to see the 8th up there. Rove, Cilizza and Rothenberg all have this district in play. Damn...when I think of how hard I tried to get these very same people - well....other than Rove, of course - to pay attention. Chuck Todd too. I emailed them, wrote so many pieces and even one piece on MyDD wondering why the pols weren't picking up on the race. I think that's the one that MyDD front-paged and then it was picked up on the blogometer for the day.
Damn.....It's going to be strange not having to convince these people to pay attention. I guess we have to work to keep the campaign fresh and exciting so they won't stop paying attention. Fortunatey, that's not my job. I just get to write about the awesome Kissell campaign. :)
Robin Hayes lied. Nobody died, but thousands of folks lost their jobs.

couple of thoughts
The first step is creating a buzz around other races. As far as the national pundits should be concerned, NC-08 isnt a toss up, it is a lean D. Therefore, when we are making noise about other races its like "we already have the lead here, lets get an upset." Larry's race wont be an upset in 08.
The second step is using BlueNC to encourage people to show up and help Larry and all the other candidates out. The best way to do this, in my opinion, is to encourage people to run for local office, state office or find friends/community leaders they believe in to run for local office. Allowing the Republicans to use down ballot resources to push turnout could hurt us big time in Larry's race and the Senate race.
