New TV Ad blasting McHenry's Video and "Two Bit" remark

Looks like things get better and better- Sigmon's got TV commercials running now. Admittedly few of us will see them as they will probably stick to Conservative news networks, but hey, I might just try to catch an airing.

Lance Sigmon (R)

Is running one hell of a campaign against Pat McHenry. Frontpaged.

That's not a bad ad at all

It's a hell of an ad

And I hope it sends votes to Dan Johnson instead of Sigmon. But it's certainly negative, isn't it?

It's a "good" ad.

I mean - it's negative about McHenry, but it doesn't lie. So it's a good negative. That's weird to write.

anything AGAINST McHenry isGOOD for us

I just want McHenry out of that office - I hope Sigmon can beat him in the primary so we don't have to deal with him in the General election against Daniel. Didn't think Sigmon had a chance at first...but who knows now!

I know what you mean

And I am not opposed to negative ads. I don't approve of any ad that LIES, but I imagine that there will always be room for interpretation as to what constitutes some harsh truth and what constitutes a lie.

I think this one comes close to the edge, though, in terms of nasty. I'm no fan of McHenry, and am not sorry to see him getting beaten over the head. I think he would not hesitate to stoop to dirty dealings in ads, himself.

But there's really no way to know that two deaths are attributable to his stupidity. I wouldn't want to claim responsibility for that in an ad.

The ad doesn't attribute the deaths to McHenry's stupidity

It simply says that two days after he airs the videotape discussing damage to the compound two American soldiers died. It's up to the viewer/listener to make the attribution. It also says McHenry could get up to 10 years in prison, but it doesn't mention that no charges have been or are rumored to be filed in this case. Not really lies. Technically true. He could get 10 years. He's not likely to get 10 years.
