More than once, somebody says, "We have a Foxx in the henhouse _ and we've got to get her out," bringing laughter. But several seniors tell me quietly that Roger Sharpe, the Democratic congressional candidate, has an uphill battle to unseat Republican Rep. Virginia Foxx.

Talking points

Blah, blah, blah, re-elect me, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, re-elect me, blah, blah, blah. Looks like the Puppetshow has gone national.

Oddly, after reading the full article, Virginia Foxx was right. The Katrina aid bill was horribly lax on fraud. $2 billion of the 50 or so all went to ill gotten criminals.

Go figure.

Compare to Iraq

I am sure that more than 2 of every 50 billion spent on Iraq is on some kind of fraud. And the Katrina relief was in an emergency situation with less time to plan for safeguards.

As much as I dislike Foxx, the fifth is an extremely difficult district for a Dmeocrat to win in. It makes Ca-50 (Bilbray's) look like a Democratic stronghold. That said, I like the diea of fighting in every district. Every dollar Foxx has to spend in her district is another dollar she can't send to Gerlach (PA), Shays (CT), Taylor (NC).... etc.
