I already did, it's easy.

Also, BOLO for a pre- or post- precinct meeting party with Jim Neal in Mecklenburg!

Just heard Pat Patton is helping pick the chairs

For those that don't know, Pat was one of the petitioners challanging the election. There are +/- 20 precincts where two people have applied to be chair. Should be interesting who Jerry and Pat pick.

Meck board meetings

Hey, does anyone know why the Meck Board meetings are closed to other democrats or is that just a nasty rumor?

News of the 10th district: See Pat Go Bye Bye,

I may have it wrong

but I was told that they had two kinds of meetings. One with the precinct officers and and county officers (the executive board, I suppose). The other, more frequently, excludes precinct chairs and everyone except the county officers.

I don't see these meetings listed on the calendar so perhaps I have it wrong. I never understood the lingo, like who is the Executive Committee and who is the Executive Board and what their duties are. I don't know if either group has a regular monthly time or sets the time at each meeting. But their calendar for future months is pretty empty if they have a regular time.

It all seems weird to me but what do I know . . . I just hate it when I hear of closed meetings that are for anything but personnel decisions for paid staff.

Well, I've heard it from more than one person

I was outraged. I hate that crap. But who knows if they actually mean it or someone told someone that the meetings are closed and it isn't really true.

I would recommend looking into it. Someone told me it was mentioned by the former chair at that hearing on Saturday. If that's true, it's certainly no secret.

I've never heard of those meetings being closed

And I've been to quite a few.
