HIV Advocacy Day 2009 at the General Assembly on Tuesday, April 7

Join us for a day which gives every North Carolinian infected and affected by HIV/ AIDS an opportunity to discuss their most pressing issues with the people that represent our interests in state government!

We'll be advocating for policies that:
--Require schools to offer comprehensive sexuality education as an option for parents.
--Protect critical funding for HIV prevention programs from threatened cuts.
--Protecting access to life-saving medications by maintaining funding for the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP).

It's a lot of fun. We'll give you a short orientation to the issues and what to expect when you meet with legislators, then give you time to talk with them. We'll provide lunch for those who pre-register.

Limited reimbursements for transportation to the event are available: contact Jacquelyn Clymore in advance to request assistance (
