High Impact Reads - March week 1

I received so much positive feedback from the high impact community post, I decided to put up a weekly piece since gathering this information is always easier on a weekly basis. I will not front-page the weekly posts since this is more internal information.

Please remember that these diaries are not necessarily "the best" or the most informative. Every diary at BlueNC is important to the community in some way. Some of the top ten were linked by high traffic sites and some had provocative titles. I haven't given much thought yet as to whether there is a pattern to the posts with the largest number of visitors. Maybe we can give this another month or two and take a look at that to see how best to "sell" BlueNC and bring new visitors in.

The top ten (in unique visitors) posts for March 1 - March 7:

#1 Gregflynn - MaggotsMisanthropy on the Mall
#2 Anglico - Good Morning Grier
#3 Blue South - Candidates and Blogging

#4 Anglico - Power Struggle Grips State
#5 Southern Dem - Charlotte 14-yr-old Quoted in Paper Calls McHenry Childish
#6 Drama Queen - WNCNN Lands Exclusive Must-See Interview with Elizabeth Dole
#7 Internazionale - Stand Up to this Garbage
#8 Larry Kissell - No Child, Voter, Worker or District Left Behind
#9 Southern Dem - BlueNC: High Impact Community
#10 Anglico - Dance of the Marriage Bigots

Thanks everyone for all your hard work.

Misogynists

Ah, so many M words to choose form. Miscreants? Madmen? Moral midgets? Munchkins? Moonies? Muddles?

I think Greg finally settled on Misanthropes . . . but I like Misogynists too.

Thanks for doing this.

You Rock SD

Not sure about anyone else, but for me, this information is very encouraging!

No matter that patriotism is too often the refuge of scoundrels. Dissent, rebellion, and all-around hell-raising remain the true duty of patriots.

Sorry for the errors

userids aren't listed and full titles aren't either, so did a bit too much from memory. Repair workers here to fix roof, etc and the final boxes getting packed in the office. I just have too much going on. I apologize.

As soon as I think I'm ready to list the house I see a hundred other things that need to be completed. The next house we stay forever. This is for the birds.

It's just a pleasure for me

As a rookie, to be surrounded by the leading lights of BlueNC. I can only hope that I'm able to make this list more often. Check out my latest, Let's Take Action! I think it's better, but I respect your opinion.

War is over if you want it.

Learning Curve.

You'll soon learn that those thoughtful posts you put together that everyone will love disappear without a comment, while the spur-of-the-moment thrashing often picks up steam and a life of its own.

Jesus Swept ticked me off. Too short. I loved the characters and then POOF it was over.

Thank you, Swami

I'm Luke; you are Yoda. And thanks for letting me disagree with you, from time to time, about John Edwards, without harpooning me.

War is over if you want it.

I don't see it as a disagreement.

I'm on your side when it comes to Marriage Equality, and the sooner he gets on board the better.

But, I'll not throw out the baby with the bath water while I'm waiting.

To steal a line,

That's why I can't quit him, either. I love Obama, too, but Edwards is running a better campaign right now (Obama doesn't have to, though, since anywhere he goes he's treated like a rock star!). I can't wait to see these two compete in debates to see who is Bobby Kennedy's true heir. I really like the work that Edwards is giving the people right now. He's serving ALREADY.

Just wish he'd cross the river on this issue. What bugs me is that I think he's already there---he's just making a political calculation on it.

War is over if you want it.

I don't know.

He's been pretty open. Thing is, if you look at the polls most Americans are okay with civil unions but bulk at "gay marriage". You can take that two ways, he is playing politics, or he feels like the majority of Americans.

When we start dealing with true equality in this country, not faux equality, not ignoring the unresolved race issues, not ignoring the income inequality in this country - then, maybe we'll see a tidal-shift in opinion.

Robert....I'm working on one of those pieces right now

that will largely go ignored. I guess I could insert the "f" word every other sentence or so........ heh heh
