Y'all...I'm having some computer issues
I've lost four posts so far today. (They were the same post)
Please email and call. This one is so important. Don't let last minute amendments slide in there because you think we have this in the bag.

Sent the e-mail, and...
I've sent the e-mail, (well many many e-mails over the past few months), and asked others to do the same. One nice thing about living in Chapel Hill is that everyone is so open minded, but a downside is that whenever there is a call to action to try to change elected officials minds on something, the people representing me are often already in the place where I want them to be.
That said, I was rather jealous of my mother, a public school teacher all her life, who recently got to talk to her Representative (Republican Nelson Dollar) directly over the phone. She called expecting to get a voice mail or secretary but the phone was answered directly by Representative Dollar and my mother as someone who has taught in middle & high school was able to very articulately make the case for the Bullying Bill with specifics.
I don't know that she actually changed his mind or anything, but there is no way he can claim he voted against the Bullying Bill because none of his constituents stood up for it. He said the bill had some language in it that he didn't like, but my mother responded, when have you ever seen a bill that was perfect, and doesn't every child deserve to feel safe at school? Which is a hard question to answer no to.
I would change that to say call AND e-mail now. The e-mail is important, it adds to the volume of e-mails that come in supporting the bullying bill, but on the chance that you can change a mind, please make the call!
Thanks, Jake
Will do.
