Getting Yer Political News from Slashdot

If it weren't for an email tip from Geneffects, I never would have noticed this. (Admittedly, I don't pay enough attention to national politics.)

According to CNS News Service, the Democrat Party will have an agenda that guarantees every American will have affordable access to broadband within five years as part of their 2006 election year agenda, according to Nancy Pelosi, House minority leader. Absent, of course, are any details as to how they will accomplish it when they are the party out of power in Congress.

Slashdot | Democrats May Promise Broadband for All

Did you catch the stupid in there? The whole point of an election year agenda is to not be the party out of power.

Lance, dear

If you vote for them they will be the party in power. It's the ole vote for me and get broadband deal. I can see the goopers rushing over to our side now. This has got to be a joke. Please tell me our side has something other than broadband to offer.

Vote Democratic! The ass you save may be your own.
