Why phone books make me sad ... a great post about an ongoing environmental tragedy.

It has easily been 10 years since I have looked anything up in a phone book. I can’t imagine anyone working in an office with computer access using a phone book. Phone books are remnants of an analog era, an era where people got news from a twice daily paper, sometimes heard a busy signal when calling someone, and recycling was for new age hippies. This is why I was surprised to see a pallet of 100 phone books, being delivered to our office building. My surprise quickly turned to sadness realizing that these phone books, already outdated the second they were printed, will likely never be used. If lucky these books will end up in the recycling bin, but more likely in the dumpster. And it’s not just these 100 books, but thousands more.

When magma "attacks" glacier ice does Mother Nature cry?

...or just know that it's the circle of life?

What is the deal with all this hand-wringing about "attacks" on BlueNC?

James has a post up today urging Governor Perdue to have some balls and call a spade a spade.

Is it an "attack"?

Is it simply advocating for a position?

Is it framing (and refuting previous framing)?

* Under the Republican approach, the richest one percent of North Carolina taxpayers would pay $33,644 less in 2011, on average, than they would under President Obama’s approach.

Just got robo-called by BJ Lawson

It was pretty much sound and fury signifying nothing. No plan. No hope. Just more no, no, no.
