Daves Urges Privette to Resign, Robin Hayes Silent on Issue

I wish Republicans would just stop having sex......outside their marriages. I'm tired of having to hear about it. Every time I turn around there's another "I'm not gay" male Republican having sex with men, a closeted gay Republican having sex with very young men, a heterosexual Republican hiring a prostitute or Joe Boylan feeling up the youngest Democratic legislator in Raleigh in an attempt to demean and belittle her.

Apparently, Linda Daves has had enough too. While she remained relatively silent when Joe Boylan got caught with his hand in the cookie jar, she has decided that hiring a prostitute over and over again is just too much and according to a report in the CharO she has asked Privette to resign.

The state Republican Party chairman said she has sent Privette a priority-mail letter urging him to step down. She said she plans to release the information at 5 p.m. today.

"It was my opinion that he should step down immediately," state party Chairman Linda Daves said Thursday afternoon. "The letter said he's dishonored and disgraced."

I'm not sure I want Privette to resign. See, he and my BFF, Robin "Flipper" Hayes are tight. Coy's followers provide GOTV assistance to Hayes and other local Republicans and I don't want Privette to resign and rob me of the chance to link Robin Hayes to a man who is guilty of straying outside the bounds of morality and using a prostitute to satisfy his carnal desires. Now we know just what kind of "action" he was getting at The Christian Action League.

Speaking of Robin Hayes....he's been silent on the news that his friend and colleague, Coy Privette can't keep his peter in his pants. Does Robin Hayes think that if he stays quiet long enough nobody is going to point out that he and Coy go way back? I mean...they're pinky shake, spit on the ground, best friends fo'evahhhhh kind of pals. A friendship like that simply shouldn't be hidden away at a time like this. Coy needs his buddies. Come on Robin Hayes, show a proselytizing old pervert some love.

Very niiiiiice

I love it when you get snarky. (Don't tell my wife.)

I won't say a word ;)

It took me long enough to finish this short little thing. I started it first thing this morning.

There are a lot of links between Privette and Hayes. It will be fun exploring their...um...relationship. :)

Robin Hayes lied. Nobody died, but thousands of folks lost their jobs.

Vote Democratic! The ass you save may be your own.

Officer! Wipe that stuff off the stall walls?

Yes! In fact it is reported that the local vice cops are checking out the Good Ole Boys Restrooms at Lowe's Speedway and found campaign material of Flippers on the Stall walls with a campaign phone number should they want to contact his campaign just under another missionary notice about the First Baptist Church of Concord looking for new lady choir members by Brother Coy.

Linda! It after 5 pm, shall we nuke him like Cheney would?

Daves gave him until 5 pm today to resigned or else statement today.

It's after 5 pm and it is reported that Senator Craig has team up with Coy to form the perfect defense against the loyal Republicans. The Pervert Dream team has opened a adult toy store across from Republican State Party HQ's to show their fighting spirit. Sales are reported Brisk since most clients appear to be coming from Party HQ.

heh heh ... can't wait for the next installment

of this series, Betsy.

On a serious note, as a woman and a mother, I am sick and tired of these dirty old Republican men, too. The straight ones who get caught are actually more repulsive than the gay ones. I can understand a gay Republican sneaking around, but the straight ones ought to be able to operate in the open -- i.e., get a date -- if they're single and if they're any sort of decent likable human being at all. But then I guess doing what Boylan did automatically excludes him from the "decent likable human being" category. ugh.

From my perspective, it's actually nice to see the female Chair of the NC Republican Party standing up to at least some of these dirty old men in her Party. They do seem to be crawling out of the woodwork lately, don't they? But, if she wants to be consistent, her next letter needs to be a howler to Boylan ... and God only knows who else.

"They took all the trees and put them in a tree museum Then they charged the people a dollar 'n a half just to see 'em. Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got till it's gone? They paved paradise and put up a parking lot."

I'm tired of it, too, Leslie.

The reason nothing went to Boylan is that he wasn't in court, and he's got Pope money behind him. Once again it comes down to money.

Limitless Money. The root of all evil.

And apparently not too good an influence on NC Republicans, either. I'd say Uncle Artie had better step up lest the next headline (and common wisdom) turn into, "Pope money protects the pervert wing of the party."

I wouldn't be surprised

if Art Pope has backed away from Boylan. We disagree about almost everything, but Pope's a smart guy. I bet he's already cutting his losses.

The word on the street is that no matter what,

Boylan can expect a strong Democrat challenging him in 08. Not sure when it will be announced. Needless to say. . .(i'm thrilled.)

Gerald?

Galloway? I'd like to see him run again.

I also think we'll see a Republican challenger to Boylan too. The Moore Republicans are far from finished with their very public internal battles. With Morgan out of the way (or is he?) Boylan's money situation this time should be much different.

A Strong Democrat is all I can say.

I would, too.

Somehow I doubt we've heard the last of Richard Morgan. Doesn't he still have a big billboard up on 211 - or has that finally been taken down?

I'm told

He owns owns a fair number of billboards including that one.
