Convention Blogging & Larry Kissell at FDL

Well, the convention is still going on and I took a break to head on over to the Radisson to use their signal. I couldn't connect in the other building.

Everyone stop by FireDogLake and blog with Larry Kissell.

FDL hostesses Christy Hardin Smith and Jane Hamsher are two of my favorite bloggers and Howie Klein has joined them to write a regular post called Blue America. Head on over and support Larry.

Just got back from the Convention

I thought it went well. I attended the DNC training this morning and like it as well. No really new information from the training. Instead, they emphasized the things we all need to consider as we get, encourage, and maintain volunteers.

I got to meet Robert!

I love putting faces with names.

But we didn't get to meet you!

District 11 ended up in the nosebleed seats. (Okay, and and we got there right at noon with no time to schmooze.)

No hemp people this year, but our local eccentric (call him Dr. "No") was there. And only one roll call vote, thank goodness.

Jerry's a kick, ain't he?

I just got home.

Jim Hunt for Senate in 08.

The man rocks.

Someone went to a sports bar between the convention and the dinner and had a few drinks and was aaaaaaaaaaalmost asleep when BOOM. Along came this fiery Democrat. Wow!

Jesus Swept ticked me off. Too short. I loved the characters and then POOF it was over.

Jerry is great....

I went up to the nosebleed section before Schorr gave me a press pass and let me sit down front ;)

I wish I'd known you were going to be there. Next year I'll make sure we talk about this weeks in advance. Maybe we can get more BlueNCers to go and we can have a BlueNC caucus. Heh, wouldn't that be a kick in the pants?

I'm still at the radisson.

I'm still at the radisson. Jerry is throwing PJ and Kristen a little birthday bash in his room (221) if you are still here in the hotel. would love to put faces to the names. Great convention weekend so far. Best moment was the guy that got up all nervous and instead of proposing a resolution proposed a revolution.....cracked up the place. Even the honorable John Brooks and Mr PR Latta were well behaved and in exemplary form....especially Mr Brooks defense of the impeachment resolution.

I'm happy to see you posting...

I've missed seeing you dropping by.

I miss stopping by also.

I miss stopping by also. Just been busy with the new home purchase in Raleigh, new kid on the way and work up in NY. this thursday it's off to Mexico until the 19th of july for more work.

Once back from Mexico we hope to start work on our next "for now secret" project. They don't call us the "Wake county agressives" for nothing at the NCDP Headquaters...LOL

Sorry I missed fellow BNC'ers at the convention. Next time we need to caucus

We will caucus next time...

...and we may caucus before next time ;)

It was great

The convention was great ya'll. It was my first time going to such a thing and, being the geek I am, I loved every minute of it, especially just watching the procedure and listening into the debate.

I really loved the dinner, too... and Gov. Hunt's speech. I wish I were just a bit older so I could actually remember him and his administration a little better... but, oh well. I second the motion... Gov. Hunt should run for Senate... God knows he would win.

The little "after-party" with Jerry at the hotel was kind of awesome, too. I hung out with the UNCG College Dems folk and talked to a few people, but I had to come home. I was just too tired to stay any longer.
