Wow....that's 83 people or so

......and I was worried nobody would want to come to our little ol' shindig.

Robin Hayes lied. Nobody died, but thousands of folks lost their jobs.

Add one more! " Madame Justice" aka Rachel is coming with me. I believe 3 members of the Neal staff is coming also?

Jim is a maybe, +1 or 2

One of Jim's friends scheduled a fundraiser in Chapel Hill at 2 pm, and anyone is invited if they want to come over before before the Bash.

It's at Margaret's Cantina (In Timberline Shopping Center), 1129 Weaver Dairy Road, Chapel Hill, NC

Jim is going to try and make it over before he leaves town for an event in Charlotte.

Me + 1, 1 vegetarian.

(I didn't see the RSVP thread in the RSS feed, so I missed it until Tuesday.)

No problem :)

We'll be there with bells on!

I'm looking forward to seeing y'all again :D

I know...I can't wait

I bet James is exhausted. We're getting up very early and I'm taking Katie and her beau to walk around campus. Then we'll head on over and set up. Woo Hoo!

Hampton will be there (but a little late)

Hampton is out for the day but wanted me to let you know that he's excited to see everyone later today. He has an event in the afternoon and will get to the Bash as soon as he can, but it might be on the late side (he hopes to be there close to 6). He said you should feel free to sign him up for cleanup duty.

And as long as I'm here, I wanted to share this article. It talks about one of our volunteers, but it could just as easily be talking about any number of people on this board or other volunteers in local and statewide races across North Carolina. It's great to see those efforts recognized, and it will be even better when we see on election day what a huge difference the grassroots efforts made in a lot of these races.

But the grassroots activities are not focused just on the heated presidential primary. Candidates from both parties in statewide and local races also have had their foot soldiers out on recent weekends.

The voter outreach is key for other races down the ballot, said Dan Wilkes, New Hanover County coordinator for Democratic lieutenant governor candidate Hampton Dellinger.

"It's needed to break through the clutter of the presidential and the governor's race," he said. "People were really happy to hear about these other races."

Wilkes, a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill whose parents still live in Wilmington, travels back home every weekend to field canvass.

"Most people are pretty good about it. A couple of folks don't come out and talk to you through the screen," Wilkes said. "The fun thing is you'll get in long conversations with people."

It has been narrowed to just Roy and myself now.

I was getting ready to get ready and realized that I have no idea where I'm going once I get to Blue Heaven. I need directions to the bash. PM them to me? Or PM a cell number?

thanks!
