Anybody Interested in Protesting Hillary Tonight?

Dunno if anybody else is really eager for Hillary to get out before she completely destroys the party. Just thought a few might be interested in a little protest outside, during her hordes speaking engagement tonight

Great idea

Sure, that's what we need right now-- More democrats fighting.

May the splinters of a thousand cheap wooden stakes enter the beds of your fingernails.

Seriously, this is what you want to do with your Friday evening? You really believe this is a constructive, helpful activity, and that she's going to respond by quitting?

We have been distroyed before

After McCain feeds Obama his shorts I can hear all the whinning
" If Hillary had just got out when she should have"
Bull Bleap
If this party can't stand two points of view until this is decided, we deserve to be distroyed.

The Obama supporters view on opposition

We don't mind an opposing point of view......... as long as you agree with us.
If don't agree with us, you aren't a democrat.
One of the best reasons I know to support Hillary has been about 50% of the Obama supporters I have talked with.

Indeed

And that will also be the time she will actually win the nomination, as in it's not going to happen.

Ah, Yes.

I think it's funny that you're always criticizing Obama and his supporters...

Instead of, you know, making the case for your candidate...

Or liveblogging any of the Clintons' events...

Or adding anything substantive, really.

Good job, buddy.

PS: That's not me being condescending because I'm an Obama supporter, that's me being condescending because you're being a jerk.

Wow......

After reading these comments I understand exactly how someone like Jesse Helms could have been so popular...

...cheers to the folks who CAN get internet in cave..

Wow, yerself

I asked a serious question.
This is the best you can do by way of answer?

It is my sincere hope that

It is my sincere hope that we can band together once our nominee is chosen. If we are not able to do so we will face another 4, (8) years of Constitution trampling, expansions of executive power. Habeas Corpus will become an outdated archaic idea. We will amend the Constitution to ostracize a specific group of our citizens based on how they self-identify denying equal rights. We will remain uninsured, we will not fund Ryan White, the NEA, or SCHIP. No Child Left Behind will have thrown millions of children under the bus. Our standing in the world will have deteriorated beyond an semblance of the moral authority we once touted. Our skies will darken as our ice caps diminish.
I am being over-dramatic I guess. All I can think is if McCain wins because of our own inability to unite, then we get what we deserve.

First, DEB0609: think before

First, DEB0609: think before you act. Even her fiercest critics agree that HRC is tenacious (at best) and relentless (at worst). I don't think protesting her event tonight is going to change her mind or win Obama any support (assuming that's your preference). In fact, it is the sort of stunt that hardens her resolve, goes against his messaging, and convinces her supporters that the Obama supporters are crazy. Go volunteer at Obama's campaign office instead. Seriously.

Second, HLW: I hear you on your "opposing point of view... as long as you agree with us" point, but that statement tends to be true of both the Obama and Hillary camps (and both the Republican and Democratic parties, for that matter). It's a shame that our political discourse rapidly descends into shouting matches. Ask Joe Liebermann if there is room in the party for Democrats who believe we should be in Iraq. Heck, ask supporters on either side whether a health plan that "forces everyone to buy coverage" is better than one that "leaves children out." We've been fortunate here, but I can't read myDD or DailyKos any more... you can throw any of your favorite trigger words into the
pool of comments and watch the water turn red from the feeding frenzy. The MSM sites are even worse.

I don't expect you to be any less of an advocate for your candidate, but supporters for both sides are threatening to push the "McCain/Armageddon/I'll Nuke the Party" button if their candidate doesn't prevail. I've got to imagine that, in both cases, it's because they truly believe in their candidates, and, like you, they have had bad run-ins with those "crazy irrational idiots" on the other side of our own party (my words, not yours).

heh.

I'm not a big fan of Hillary Clinton, but protesting her? That's just sad. I'm a Democrat, and I don't protest other Democrats.

I'm sure Barack Obama would be horrified by the prospect of people protesting another Democrat. Think about that before you go march outside Hillary's venue.

No Thanks.

I do worry about the impact the extended primary is having on the Party.

I do believe that Hillary Clinton should drop out. There is very little chance that Clinton will overtake Obama's lead in pledged delegates or in popular vote. And I think it's unlikely that she'll get the proportion of remaining superdelegates (70 percent, I believe) to secure the magic number of delegates (2,024).

But while I sometimes think that the Clinton campaign has forgotten that we're all Democrats, I haven't. So I'll remain respectful.

That said, if I could be at the Carville speech tomorrow, I'd wear a t-shirt that said "I am Judas."

Here's what I don't get

First there is a big fuss about Hillary planning to ignore NC and when she doesn't ignore NC folks want to protest her. (Oh....and I don't think the folks claiming Hillary was going to ignore NC are the same ones wanting to protest her.....go figure) We might not all be singing Kumbaya, but it's going to be over soon I think.
