Their victory today is nothing short of amazing. Three games in three days...wow!
Also, how many times have the men and women's tournaments had the same final match-up?
Sidenote: Anyone watching this CBS coverage of the PAC-10 Championship? Oregon is a beast. Wow!

The regular schedule is ACC on ESPN and SEC on CBS, but in the Triangle we get ACC on ESPN and CBS and no SEC. At the very least they could have the SEC on ESPN, but now I am unable to watch the games that I really want to at all.
Tired? These kids are 18 and 19 years old. Sure it is difficult to play basketball for a few hours straight for a few days, but I am sure that most of these kids have played basketball for at least a couple of hours a day for the majority of their lives. I know when I was in undergraduate school, we went to play basketball at least three times a week and every time that it was the offseason the actual basketball team was there playing for hours in pickup games. I am sure the State team can take it.
A mask? I can see how the obstruction would hurt an outside player, but Tyler is supposed to be a tough inside player who relies more on bulk and power than precision; he can play through it. Also, the school spent thousands on this to protect him; if it was going to hurt his production, I am sure they would have spent more to make it better. If this really affects Tyler, he is never going to be able to make it in the pros.
As I've told many of you, the Doonesbury Daily Dose has the best site for what ails you. A great, politican cartoon everyday, and the SAY WHAT? section, which is my favorite. Today's really surprised me, and made me wonder...are we turning a corner?

Ignoring the religious overtones, I'm wondering if someday we might look back on this as the first step in de-violencing our youth?

I'm glad to see that Carolina learned absolutely nothing from the encounter between Tyler Hansborough and Gerald Henderson.

... but I'm here to talk about sports, not politics, on this day.
First... is it just me, or does Hansbrough look like Hannibal Lecter in that mask??
As a State fan, I'm obviously disappointed with the result, but could not be more pleased with the team's effort. Carolina is simply the better team... for now.
That's what happens when you are young, you let things like that get to you. Put on the facemask and don't take it off for a week, until you are used to doing everything in it, including eating and sleeping.

Why do they preempt CBS coverage?

that pic up top makes me mad
I just watched Breach. Highly reccomended. Worth the cash to go see it in the theatre. I still havent come to terms with us being in the final.

I shopped it.
I'll tell you what, if NC State wins, I'll shop Roy into NC State Red.

Great, great game.
I have no regrets pulling for State all this time. I'm a Tarheel through and through, but this State team is fun to watch. Great sportsmanship.

If I hear anything about NC State being tired or "the Mask"...
I think that I will throw something at the TV.

Thanks for chiming in, Frank.
The few Republican friends I have are lurkers too - who have never made a comment here. Glad you did.
If you're ever so inclined, I'd love to hear why you're a Republican. It's always been a mystery to me, but nowadays, it's more like pure bafflement.

more importantly, he had 15 points, 11 of them on free throws. we made him look overrated, and that is a great consolation prize.
