1 in 5 of all Federal civil servants earn $100K+....and that's the tip of the iceberg.

According to a recent USA Today article Federal employees making annual salaries of $100K or more jumped from 14% to 19% during the recession's first eighteen months. 1700 employees in the FAA earn more than $170,000.

Net, the average federal civil servant is being paid almost twice what the average private sector employee (taxpayer) earns. (The White House, Congress, Postal Service Intelligence agencies and military were excluded from this Office of Personnel Management data.)

What's wrong with this picture?

Congress is useless. Their sole purpose seems to be deluding the American people into believing that they actually give a damn about their constituents and our nation. Read the article HERE

Want to really get hot? The latest round of pork barrel spending includes:

Senator Senator Pat Roberts (R-Kan.) funding himself $2 million for the Pat Roberts Intelligence Scholars Program.

Senator Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) capturing $1.8 million for swine odor and manure management research in Ames Iowa.

Representative Howard Berman (D-Calif.) gleaning $200,000 of our dollars for a tattoo removal program.

The national average of "per capita" pork spending is $29.60. In Alaska it's $322.34. In North Carolina it's $24.72. In the District of Columbia it's #185.52.
But, we can't afford heath care?

Here's a quote that seems to sum it all....

"When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men living together in society, they create for themselves in the course of time a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that justifies it." Frederic Bastiat

Wonder what it would cost us

to get rid of the swine odor and manure emanating from the halls of Congress?

How about Social Security Recipients?

And Social Security Recipients are getting zero COLA this coming year.

It is like I read recently, Stan: "you can't polish a turd". Looks like a job for the electorate to me !

Yep...a job for "super citizen" looms large..

The problem is far too few of us that pay attention.

And...I don't know about not being able to polish a turd. Look at the bright shining countenances of McIntyre and Kissell and others. Somebody is polishing them. I'm thinking if you rub real hard with $100 bills they start to shine brightly.

I think you get the point, Stan

I'm thinking if you rub real hard with $100 bills they start to shine brightly.

Exactly, my man.
