Citizen concerns ignored

People showed up for the Senate Commerce Committee hearing only to have their collective concerns ignored.

this from
"More than 75 hardworking residents of New Hanover and Pender Counties took time off from their busy lives to pack a committee room in Raleigh Tuesday, July 28th, only to watch 11 men on the Senate Commerce committee vote to not even discuss Senator Julia Boseman’s substitute bill..."

Ain't it just great to have this kind of representation?
Serving at the pleasure of corporate interests.

and this from the SunNews...
"A senator responding to constituent fears that a proposed cement plant would pump pollution into the coastal air and water has failed again to derail the project."

This group represents mostly parents and health care professionals, all concerned with the toxic impact of more mercury in the air and water on this area.

What's next?
this from StarNewsOnline..
"Mike Giles of the N.C. Coastal Federation said efforts to prevent the cement plant from opening now will have to be focused on the regulatory side since it appears no legislation will be considered."

This is ridiculous

I'd like to see a list of all those men who chose to ignore citizen's concerns and then I'd like to see us start calling them to find out why they wouldn't even listen.

Vote Democratic! The ass you save may be your own.

The NC Senate Commerce committee page has a list.
The name most often in relating articles was Harris Blake. I posted a comment requesting more info @StopTitan the story "Citizen smackdown".
