bluenc business cards

Hey am I still ordering business cards for BlueNC people? Do we want a general card people can write their specific info on? Or do we need a individualized cards? If so it is cheapest to have multiples of 12.

I found the only union printer in all of NC so we're good on that.

Please pm or email me the info on the printer.

I've got a bunch of work stuff that has to be done.

As for the BlueNC cards - just count me in, whatever the group decides.

Thank you, Jerimee!

I'll definitely check them out!

Count me in too, Jerimee.

Or do we need a individualized cards?

Haven't you seen that movie American Psycho? Handwriting in your name on a business card is like one step above being homeless.

Which reminds me of something funny that happened to me a few months ago: I decided to "pop in" without an appointment to get some background on a blog story, and after I told the guy I was a "citizen-journalist" (that was for you, Brunette), he warily asked, "Do you have a card?"

As I pulled out my wallet to give him one of my "real job" cards, I had this mental flash of me slowly pulling open the lapel of my jacket (I wasn't wearing a jacket), revealing a shoulder-holstered pistol and muttering, "No, but I've got one of these."

I couldn't help myself. I burst out laughing, dropping my wallet which (of course) spilled out all its contents on the floor. I had to explain to the guy why I was laughing, which didn't quite "reassure" him the way I thought it would.

I won him over a few minutes later, but there was definitely a brief period where he was on the verge of asking me to leave. ;/

Republicans send Afghans 40 year old ammo

The Republican administration, in the era that begot Blackwater, created a gun-running, ammo-smuggling corporation headed by a 25 year-old masseuse to supply ammunition to the Afghans. They bought rotten, 40-year old ammo from Soviet bloc countries and illegal Chinese weaponry.

Great report, read all seven pages.

Marshall

bradford
We just posted on Daily Kos for Marshall Adame to get included on the the page for Blue Majority. All ya'll Marshall for Congress fans, if you've got the time and the inclination (PLEEEZE) mosey over there and give us some backing. Marshall is working his rear off in this race...WE CAN DO THIS!!!!

bradford

How about a link, Bradford?

Please?

Be the change you wish to see in the world. --Gandhi

I can't...

bradford

...figure out how to link directly to it...but go to Kos and scroll down to

"Blue Majority Page: Call for Nominations"

and click on "discuss." Maybe someone could mention Marshall's extensive blogging on Blue...We were trying to get the nomination in before it got too late last night, and I forgot to mention that and so did our campaign manager when he posted what I wrote.

Also, congrats Linda on the kid getting into Guilford. I hope my 14-year-old will consider Guilford in a few years. Great school!

And sorry about my double post earlier this morning. My wife had to get up extra early for work, so I did too, and got on the computer before coffee, which is not a good idea for me.

bradford

Thanks for the info - I'll go post for Marshall

I'm very excited about Guilford - and he is too. He's been smiling since he got the news. And usually he's way too cool to smile.

Big thanks...

To you, Linda, for doing that. Wish all ya'll could be at the coast today. Here in Pine Knoll Shores, the azaleas are gorgeous, there's a light breeze off the ocean, the sun is shining and my dog just finished frolicking in the surf. Of course, Satchmo the BlunderLab also ran off with a kid's toy shovel, sprayed sand all over a sleeping Marine, who woke up and was not much amused, and disobeyed the no poop law and forced me to pick it up with a seashell since I forgot my shovel and bag. I also just took a drug test to get a low-paying part-time library job for the town of Morehead City...not enough pay to pay the bills...but it's a start on the way back from two months of unemployment. But disobedient dogs and drug tests and the prospect of having to move away from paradise to get a good job aside, it's a wonderful morning. And David(son) is on the tube tonight against another Goliath in the hoops tourney! Go Cats!

Here's MY good news for today!

The boy - my son that I'm always talking about - the one I love more than anyone in the world - was accepted at Guilford College. :::happy dancing at my house:::

Yay! Congratulations to the Boy and his Mom!

That is awesome news, Linda.

Robin Hayes lied. Nobody died, but thousands of folks lost their jobs.

W00T to the beloved son

and to the loving mom!

Thanks - this is where he really wanted to go.

He has it in his head that it's the most liberal of liberal arts schools. Now we figure out how we pay for it. I just wish you could have seen his face when he told me.

wow.

No matter who you support, I'm afraid we gotta admit that those lists speak volumes about the difference between those campaigns and how they're being run -- at least here in NC.
