Guerilla Advertising Comes to NC-11!!!

I wish that my site could take credit for this; we can't, but this was too good to let sit in my inbox until I had time to publish updates...

I got an e-mail this morning from a guy who put together his own DIY political ad, attacking Charles Taylor. Kind of timely, too...

Click here to check it out.

Apparently there's going to be a whole series of these leading up to November 7th. I'll have to put this on the site ASAP.

My first instinct was to wonder if the disclosure on the back is sufficient . . . then I thought that with the State Board of Elections we have, who cares. They'd take a year to even look at it, and then decide not to decide.

Good stuff. Hope to see more.

Lyle, Got Any Info?

Can you shoot me the email of where you got this? I'd love to talk to these guys/gals/folks about some ideas...

There is no FEC law for internet advertising by individuals. If the creator is representing an organization then he/she'd have to disclose. Otherwise, it's just some free-ass speech on teh internets.

Linky love, anyone?

If you feel like recommending the crossposts I put up @ MyDD and Daily Kos, I won't stand in your way! :)

Done done.
