Wayne Goodwin's blog

Thank you, BlueNC! Now on to November ...

Mere words cannot fully express my deep felt appreciation for BlueNC's vital efforts in my Insurance Commissioner campaign!

In a very short period of time between my filing and May 6th we were able to stress why the 2008 Democratic Primary for NC Insurance Commissioner should be on everyone's political radar. Playing a significant role were the blog posts, BlueNC's Live Blog, and the recent BlueNC Blogger Bash.

And with your individual roles in my campaign, as well as the dialog among the BlueNC community, we were able to get out my campaign message and win 56% of the Statewide vote!

The Independent Weekly Highlights Wayne Goodwin's Race for Insurance Commissioner and Promotes Public Financing

I believe fellow BlueNC'ers will enjoy and appreciate this week's article by Bob Geary of The Independent Weekly.

In it he writes:

Four years ago, Democrat Wayne Goodwin was running for state labor commissioner, and his campaign consisted mainly of long days trapped in a cubicle with a telephone, as he called everyone he knew and asked for contributions.
