it looks like taylor's switched from mud to poo...
so, the d-trip has been running ads here in the 11th criticizing charles taylor for taking more than $100k from big oil... here's chainsaw's rebuttal.
as far as i can tell, the only redeeming quality about this steaming dump is the fact that you can hear the voiceover guy saying "charles taylor's a tool!"
i will be giving the following list of businesses a phone call today, informing them that as long as they continue to advertise on wlos, who as of press time are still planning to air the path to 9/11 (and are therefore complicit in abc's decision to play partisan politics with one of america's darkest days), i will be taking my business elsewhere.

in the second installment of "cooking with syntax", we present a variation on the official state dish of texas. our esteemed representative, congressman charles taylor, loves people from texas so much that he voted with them 91% of the time, and he's been known to sample a nice hot bowl of chili now and again... except he likes to put a little bit of a tarheel spin on it. the weather will be more ideal for chili as we draw closer to election day, so without any futher ado, i present for your gastronomical approval:
after a brief discussion about it @ drinking liberally last night, i started to develop a sweet tooth. i realize that summer isn't the best time of year for baking, but i've got a mean hankering for something with apples. so, in the first (and probably last) installment of "cooking with syntax", i have a recipe i'd like to share with the blogosphere and the public at large:
Earlier this week a representative from Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) was in town, flanked by a few local activists of note - including one that I'm sure you're familiar with - to hold a press conference on the steps of Asheville City Hall to discuss Charles Taylor's many ethical peccadilloes and what they, as an organization, were doing about it.
so, citizens for responsibility and ethics in washington (CREW) were in town today for a press conference during which new ethics allegations against taylor were to be announced.
wlos-tv, our local sinclair mouthpiece, was there... but you'd never really know it from watching the embedded clip below the jump...
