Not a day goes by without GOP leaders spinning their toxic Wheel of Hate in search of someone, anyone, worthy of disdain. For the past century, the wheel has been stuck on Blacks and Women, where it still lands as often as not. Spouting misogynist and racial slurs, Republicans leaders have chosen Women and Blacks as two of the big "others" they can use to divide.
Pay attention to Mark Robinson. Watch what he says and does. You'll be shocked by the level of his hate. For women. For gays. For teachers. For Native Americans. For the truth.
After stirring the pot with his condemned remarks on LGBTQs and spearheading an effort to ban books on LGBTQ and racial history topics in schools and classrooms, Lt Governor Mark Robinson has gone notably silent. While there were rumblings that GOP leaders wanted him to tone things down, the real reason Robinson might have gone incognito in recent weeks is that he has served his purpose in the current national effort by the right to stir up the base.
Many of the specific titles Robinson mentioned during his Fall Faux Outrage Tour 2021 are now being challenged by “concerned parents” around North Carolina and other parts of the country.
One curious aspect of the Virginia Race was the election of Winsome Sears in the Lt Governor race in the state. Sears seems to be a doppleganger of NC's Mark Robinson.
While Sears previously served in Virginia's House of Delegates and is a military vet, while Robinson came from nowhere with only a YouTube channel to his credit, they both share some common qualities besides being both states's first Black Lieutenant Governors.

Not only is he the first person of African-American descent, male or female, to be elected lieutenant governor in North Carolina history, he may be the embodiment of the idealized notion of the “citizen-politician” as envisioned by philosophers such as Aristotle, Cicero and the founders of the American Democratic Republic in 1776.
Marcus Tullius Cicero would be aghast at this reference, and would probably reiterate his quote, "They condemn what they do not understand." That's Robinson to a "T". He's taken demagoguery to a whole new level in NC politics, weaving strawmen so fast he doesn't have time to knock them all down. Next absurd comparison: George Washington:
I did a “deep dive” into some Google searching this morning to find out more about the Board of Directors of Mark Robinson’s new Carolina Teachers Alliance. To be an organization for educators, it seems to mostly consist of folks who are conservative activists.
