Y'all need to be more civil

in your political discourse, says George Holding's SuperPAC.

"Haven't we seen enough of bad-mannered politicians?" Knott asks. "Civil debate is the bedrock of our politics. I'm Joe Knott. Let's restore America's foundations."

The ad is one of two in which Knott appears on behalf of the The American Foundations Committee, a Super PAC that supported Republican 13th District Congressman George Holding in his 2012 campaign.

Just as we had started to applaud and cheer, we were reminded that American Foundations, George Holding's SuperPAC was behind attack ads on Paul Coble, Holding's primary opponent (not that we're Paul Coble fans, but in that district, the GOP primary *is* the election). Those ads weren't entirely true and Paul Coble probably doesn't think they were all that civil.

So apparently American Foundations' position is that y'all need to be more civil in your political discourse...but we don't.

One wonders

how much money a SuperPAC must have to decide to waste spend it on ads like these.

The founder of American

The founder of American Foundations is Ben Schaub.
Their website says their purpose is:

.

to help develop and promote the Education of all Americans in the knowledge and understand of our Constitution, including the following resounding truths and principles as taught by our Founding Fathers:

That our Founding Fathers were inspired by God in framing the Declaration of Independence and Constitution of the United States of America

That Government should be limited as proscribed in the Constitution and writings of the Founding Fathers

The historical setting under which the constitution was created, along with the principles of governance espoused by our Founding Fathers.

Acknowledging absolutes as the basis for our laws and God as the giver of freedom, and researching issues through the lens of the Constitution.

Wow

They make shit stuff up and claim that our Founding Fathers proscribed such shit stuff?

That is the precise sort of shit stuff that could very well destroy this nation. Glenn Beck, Wing Nut Daily, Breitbart, Fox News and such. Yeah, that kind of shit stuff.

And the people who peddle it for their own advantage are vile people. Full of shit stuff.

We hope

that Joe Knott thinks that was civil enough. We tried so hard to be just as civil as American Foundations would be.

It's almost as if they sense that George Holding will be re-elected for life so long as no one upsets George's really sweet apple cart. But if the gerrymander were ever repealed, George and American Foundations would be screwed. Big time.

So y'all just be civil, please, OK? And don't challenge King George; otherwise we might have to be un-civil. And throw shit stuff at you.

Remember when

Thomas Jefferson said we need limited government; and we have a spending problem, not a revenue problem; and we need to get government out of the way of business; and government is too big and out of control?

Yeah, neither do we.
