Why I hate George Bush.

Why do I hate this man? No, it's not what you think. I don't hate him for any of the things he has done. I hate him for the things he won't do over the next three years that ONLY he could accomplish.

George Bush is the politician most beholden to Big Oil and Big Business in the history of the world. Without his parents money and the oil industry, George would be a 3rd rate contractor in some small New England town, down at the bar every night tyin' one on and sneaking home to his third wife. As the politician that is most closely linked to the companies destroying our environment, he is the only one who can save it. Just as Nixon was the only President who could go to China, because he was such a hard-liner and would not be seen as an appeaser, Bush is the only President who could save the world, a President Gore certainly could/would propose it, but he couldn't do it. No, Bush is the only President that can save the planet. Literally. But, he won't.

He has this God complex where he wants to be seen as powerful, but in reality he is a small man whose vision lacks the ability to see great change. Bush could still change our world in just three years and forever after be seen as the man that admitted he was wrong, that the planet was doomed, and set out to fix it, and Damn the Torpedos! As Clinton today tries to fix the failures of his Presidency, so too Bush could be welcomed around the world after his days in office if he continued to fight for a safe planet - but he won't. And, for that, I hate him.

At least you can articulate

a valid reason for hating him. I simply hate him. That's all....no reason. I just hate him.

Lovex7....

I'm not sure there are words that can adequately express the depths of my loathing for this man.

A missed opportunity of gigantic proportions

I totally agree with you, Robert. This is also the main reason I hate George Bush.

But I have others. I hate that he's a liar who started the war in Iraq, a war that didn't need fighting. That betrayal of integrity is equally horrific to his willful ignorance on climate change.

People have told me it's wrong to hate, and I sympathize with their views. 'Why do you have to be so angry about all this?' they ask. To which I say, 'What's the alternative? Smile and hope it'll all get better? Wish and hope and pray that my grandchildren will inherit a world worth living in?"

I really wish I didn't hate George Bush, but there's no other verb to describe how I feel. Even worse, that feeling is beginning to spread to people who defend him and his policies.

What other emotion but hate

could describe the feeling that any real Patriot feels about this waste of humanity, raper of the planet and enabler of Republican bigotry? Good post Robert!

No matter that patriotism is too often the refuge of scoundrels. Dissent, rebellion, and all-around hell-raising remain the true duty of patriots.

2 Years, 4 months, 19 days, 21 hours

until Inauguration Day - Jan 20th, 2009, 12 Noon ET.

Good God - It's not 3 years. It just can't be. Don't scare me like that.

Don't think he has that much time

left in his "reign"....after the mid-terms we'll have a MUCH better idea!

My letter to Bush re: his Utah speech today

Here's the report.

Dear George.

If you had half a brain you’d understand that no one gives a shit what you say anymore.

Your presidency is over.

With complete disprect,

James

I wouldn't pee in his shoes if his feet were on fire.
