John McCain: Torture did not lead to bin Laden. Richard Burr: If we had not used enhanced interrogation, we would not have come to yesterday's actions. James's blog Comments McCain v Burr The McCain squandered 99% of his credibility when he chose Sarah Palin as his running mate, torture is one area where he speaks with authority. Burr, on the other hand, has never had any credibility to squander, and speaks with authority about nothing. The guy is a slacker fuck-up, always has been. And now he's proven himself an opportunistic liar. It's good to see McCain speak out on this If there's one thing Burr has accomplished in his "career" in Congress it's a stunning record of being wrong whenever he opens his mouth. Red Zone Seniors Home They both are! It's a tie since McCain gets home court field postion as a Senior Citizen in the Red Twightlight Zone... Burr Has No Guts In 2004, when then Rep Richard Burr addressed the state VFW convention, he made the following comment, "By the time I graduated high school in 1973 there was no longer a draft so I never served." Apparently the only way this great American would have served was to be forced to. If he doubts this, that day he and Rep Myrick and I addressed the convention. I was running against Myrick that year. I sat there while the two of them said only Republicans understand the military and that Democrats did not do anything for veterans or the military. Thanks for your service..and your brother's By the time I graduated high school in 1973, there was no longer a draft, but I entered the US Naval Academy, subsequently receiving my degree and commission with the Class of '77. ______________________________________________________________________ The measure of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little. - FDR Thanks back at ya Thanks to you for your service. And you may have known my cousin Bill Neal. He was one class ahead of you. And I hope if you did, he treated you well as a plebe. Ditto I entered the armed forces voluntarily, in 1968 even though I would not have been drafted. I also went to Annapolis, and then went on to serve with 2nd Anglico at Camp Lejeune. The fact that Richard Burr has any say whatsoever about policies that affect our men and women in uniform turns my stomach. Has NC ever had a recall? If not, isn't it time? I think Burr needs to be recalled before he does any more damage.
