Rape culture just got a kick in the pants:
NC House unanimously votes for bill that make it a crime to drug someone's drink and makes it clear that an incapacitated person cannot give sexual consent. H393 now goes to #ncga Senate. #ncpol #wral
— WRAL Gov't Coverage (@NCCapitol) April 29, 2019
Hopefully that unanimous vote will keep the NC Senate from messing around with it...
This week in #ncpol remember the words of R Kipling “If u can keep your head when all about u are losing theirs…If u can trust yourself when all men doubt u But make allowance for their doubting too Or being lied about, dont deal in lies Or being hated dont give way to hating”

Pretty sure Kipling didn't use textspeak in his poetry, but if butchering his art makes you feel better, go ahead.
Rumor has that Chuck Schemer is talking to a bunch of people in North Carolina, ensuring a contested race against Thom Tillis. https://t.co/aXrP70fWF3 #NCPOL #NCSEN

Oh, Thomas. When it comes to typos, that one's a doozy. But let's try not to look at it, and turn our eyes to the content:
First, Senator Jackson would bring a big following among younger voters and activists. He’s got a huge social media following and is one of the more adept communicators on those platforms among Democratic politicians in the state. He’s also proven to be a solid fundraiser. He would start the primary in solid position.
He's also a veteran (of Afghanistan) and is still wearing a uniform in the Army Reserve. Not only would that give him a boost in a state-wide contest, the Senate desperately needs that experience.
Janet Cowell would be a formidable primary candidate. She’s supposedly being recruited by both the DSCC and EMILY’s List which would bring solid institutional support and the money that follows it. She walked away from the Treasurer’s office on her own terms and after a successful tenure. With a primary electorate that is roughly 60% women, she would enter the race as a clear frontrunner in the primary.
I've always liked Janet, but I like her even more after she volunteered to help Syrian refugees in Greece (and maybe Cyprus, but I'm not sure about that). The Senate desperately needs that experience also.
That would be a painfully hard decision, one I intend to put off until the last frickin' minute...

Oh look, a Republican is mad that a Democrat is showing loyalty to his party. Isn't that quaint, especially considering how Republican leaders constantly bully their own to stay in line.
Each of the #NCGA proposals to expand Medicaid share key problematic provisions. North Carolina lawmakers should say no to each of these proposals and leave the Medicaid program for the intended populations #ncpol @johnlockenc https://t.co/vqPuJcdaD9

I don't believe it. Partly because it's Big League Politics, who have published so many lies there's no way to count them. But also because Pete hasn't demonstrated *any* arrogance, much less the level that would be required for something like this. We'll see if this guy's story holds up, if he ever actually tells it.
Reality is too many veterans and their families fall into the health coverage gap. Read about them in our "Keeping Our Promise to Military Veterans and Their Families" storybook. https://t.co/zUDVpbMSmC #CloseTheGapNC #NCGA #NCPOL pic.twitter.com/7eRuVU1562

Yep, and it's something groups like JLF and Civitas will never acknowledge.
The House is in recess until 7:00 p.m. #ncga #ncpol
— NC General Assembly (@NCLeg) April 29, 2019
And that's a damn problem. Regardless of how many breaks during the day, operating a law-making body for 12+ hours is a recipe for bad legislation. People are tired, hungry, worried about family, and will vote for something just so they can go home. It's not being lazy or careless, it's just being human.
We are happy to announce our next candidate for the appointed position of Eastern Regional Director - Barton Bundy!

Well that's a memorable name. Just don't let him near any National parks...
The @NCGOP in the past 6 months:
-Congressman not seated due to election fraud
-Chairman indicted for bribery
-Major funder’s Russian bank under investigation for laundering
-Senator accused of leaking investigatory materials
-FEC investigating campaign finance#NCPol— Pisgah_Hayseed (@PisgahH) April 21, 2019
I think you might have conflated a couple things there. That should read, "Former GOP congressman's Russian bank under investigation for laundering." But there are so many crimes it's easy to get confused...
After 5 consecutive pay raises the average teacher salary in North Carolina is higher than the state's median wage for college graduates & a beginning teacher's salary is higher than average starting salary for other college graduates. @WRAL https://t.co/KjLpcPpebf #ncpol #nced
— Speaker Tim Moore (@NCHouseSpeaker) April 25, 2019
Lol! You're not too swift, are you Tim? The first two sentences of the article you linked show the state is dropping the ball on teacher pay, while the more wealthy counties are taking up the slack. The whole idea behind the state paying teachers is so they would be equal from county to county, but you've screwed that up. You'll find out tomorrow just how badly.
On that frustrating note, here's your Onion:

The story about Mayor Pete sexually assaulting some dude was a complete hoax:
And now Big League Politics should be banned from Twitter for sharing their fraudulent tactics.
