I am trying to find the other votes that Taylor was able to cast the day he "missed " the CAFTA votes.

The CAFTA vote took place on 7/27/05. I pulled the following from the Washington Post's Votes Database (this page in particular), a truly great resource. This is everything from the 27th. Following each measure are three yes/no markers. The first is Taylor's vote; the second is the GOP position; the third is the Democratic position.

I Should Add

That I didn't copy over the links from the WaPo page. Each bill's number is linked to a page with some more detailed information, which links to a page that links to the library of congress record on the bill.

Taylor

Thanks for your help.

I am working on a letter to editor and wanted to have my facts straight.

Thanks for the lead to the WaPO page also.

Good digging, Lance. And good question Willard.

Sure looks like ol' Chuck's voting finger did a pretty good job tracking the party line on every other vote that day. Hmmmmm. I keep thinking he might have been temporarily insane, but how would you know?

keepin' a list, checkin' it twice

This is just the kind of thing I want to consider for a page of "Chainsaw Charlie's greatest hits" although I suspect that we'll come up with so much material, we'll be hard-pressed to limit it to an amount a casual voter can absorb at one time . . .

Taylor

I am working on letters to the ed.

My goal is to concentrate on a number of different areas of incompetency or corruption. I will post as I finalize each letter. Anyone is free to use the material. Feel free to contact me to get the necessary supported documents if you feel you need them

Thanks Willard.

We're still building our LTE action site (Lance, the database is out of whack . . . it currently shows county commissioners) but please share your letters with us and we'll have an "Action Day" so others can join the cause.

Dang.

Thanks; I'll fix that today.
