41% disapproval rating for Palin?

OK, I'm gonna go ahead and say it. If this poll is true, we're gonna win North Carolina. This is a state where Palin should have helped McCain.

At first, I thought she would, too

But every time she opens her mouth, it becomes obvious that she is no where near ready to take on the role of vice president, let alone the role of president should McCain become ill or incapacitated, or die.

The women I work with, who are all considerably more conservative than I, started out liking her, and now feel sorry for her. They don't think she's helping. They're pinning their hopes on Thursday - and that she'll come out shining at the debate. Somehow, I can't imagine it.

I think she's hurting McCain at this point, especially with women.

Lowered expectations...

They're pinning their hopes on Thursday - and that she'll come out shining at the debate.

Her appearances and interviews up to this point have now lowered the bar so far that to be a success on Thursday, all she has to do is show up, look pretty, and not fall flat on her face while walking to or from the podium. Sad but true. Glenn Greenwald at Salon has a good overview of the McCain camp's Palin strategy.

Keep working....

now is not the time to sit still. Keep calling...writing...talking....go go go!

Has anyone seen Liz?
