I don't know if it is because of lower concentrations of people, better quarantine procedures, or just luck but the northwest counties of Wilkes, Caldwell, Watauga, Ashe, and Alleghany have reported only one Covid-19 deaths thus far.
There are as of this morning around 40 of the 100 counties that have no fatalities contributed to the virus which gives North Carolina a much better average than that of the nation.
PROTEST GROUP SEEKS LEGAL PROTECTION(FROM THE CHARLOTTE OBSERVER)
"ReOpenNC, a grassroots group opposing the state’s stay-at-home order and business closures, is seeking legal protection following the arrest of a protester in Raleigh last week.
Lawyers representing the group sent a letter to Gov. Roy Cooper and the Wake County Board of Commissioners chairman on Friday asking for written clarification that protests are considered essential activities that aren’t subject to restrictions on mass gatherings.
The group says it will take legal action if it hasn’t received a response by 2 p.m. Monday."

The average ranking of states with increases inunemployment claims has the red states(states that are considered Republican) to be 24.20 and the blue states(states that are considered Democratic) to be 28.57. The lower number means the higher ranking.
Red states, particularly in the south, lead blue states in such categories as poverty, unemployment, lack of access to healthcare, and infant mortality.
