Must be the Democrats
who control our state legislature and Governor's office hard at work. :)...'cause Lord knows I'm not giving that jackass in the White House any credit.

Vote Democratic! The ass you save may be your own.
And Yet
The poverty rate stands at 12.28% in NC. In order to qualify as impoverished you have to:
As an adult make less than $9,570
As a family of four make less than $19,350
Over a million adults don't have health insurance.
So when your leaders tell you how super the employment numbers are, ask them what kinds of jobs people are working, whether those jobs offer benefits, whether a person working one of these jobs can get above Federal poverty level, whether this service-based economy is sustainable.
When the mill closes, and Daddy goes and gets a job at the Wal-Mart - he goes onto the rolls as employed, but he doesn't make a living wage anymore, nor does he have health insurance.
Employment numbers in a vacuum are meaningless.

More on the vaccuum
More on the vaccuum . . . a pretty sad picture, despite the improvements.
2.5 million people collecting unemployment benefits?
Record trade deficits?
Yuck.
