The Young Democrats of North Carolina and the College Democrats of North Carolina are excited to announce our 2011 State Convention, to be held in historic downtown Winston-Salem on April 1-2. The premier youth political organizations in North Carolina are joining forces to prepare for a Democratic surge in 2011 and 2012. We will engage the youth of our state to win locally in 2011 and take back the legislature in 2012!
With the recent selection of Charlotte as host city for the 2012 Democratic National Convention, history has been made. However, we are just getting started and have a great deal of work to do as we engage thousands of College and Young Democrats across this great state. Our organizations are charged with enlisting thousands of volunteers for Charlotte in 2012, and that process starts right now. As my friend Sam Spencer likes to say, we're growing the next generation of Democratic leaders!
We are presenting an exciting program that will help us train Young and College Democrats for 2012, but will also be exciting for Democrats of all ages. Many statewide, federal, and local elected officials will be in attendence, as will party activists and political operatives.
Early Bird Registration for the convention ends today, so please register soon to recieve the discounted rate. There are also many cost-saving bundles that expire today, so please register ASAP!
Support the YDNC/CDNC Convention
Even if you can't make it, please contribute $20 or more so that Young Democrats across our state will have the training and the tools to keep North Carolina Blue in '12.
With the DNC Convention, redistricting, and President Obama's re-election campaign drawing attention in many different directions, the Young Democrats of North Carolina is keeping its focus on empowering young activists and bringing young voters out to vote. Furthermore, the College Democrats of North Carolina is spreading Democratic activism to more campuses with its HBCU Conference, and the organization is fighting for our right to vote by opposing the Voter ID bill currently in the General Assembly.
We need the resources to put on a great convention. Any contribution of $20 our more will add you to our Good Democrats list, a artistic representation of all of the donors who made our 2011 Convention and continuing operations possible.
Additionally, if you would like to be a convention sponsor, please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Sponsorship packages start at $70 and can be purchased online:
