Jackson Co. Subdivision Hearing Tonight

The Jackson County commissioners will hold a public hearing tonight on a subdivision development moratorium. Anti-moratorium development interests have spent thousands to assure a big turnout. They have notified law enforcement that the roads near the hearing site will be lined with big work trucks in a show of force. The county has arranged to run shuttle buses to bring people to the community college, where the hearing was moved to accommodate the large crowds expected. Emotions are running at a fever pitch, and officials are very concerned about maintaining order tonight.
