Now it seems to me that this is not a good way to run a campaign. I know when I was in NH with Clark back in '04 we always answered the phone and some one was in the office almost 24/7. It seems to me that the days right after the first debate would be a time that you needed people to answer the phones to connect with voters that you just put over the edge. All I want to know is who is the point person for Edwards here in NC-11? If any here knows, please let me know. I am going to keep calling the office anyway until I get an answer.
Speaking of ineffetive offices, Shuler's people have really put me off. About three weeks ago he has this little fundraiser at an Asheville Tourists' game (minor league baseball). There I was talking to one of his staffers (female, older unfortunatly don't remember her name) and she took my email to get in touch with me later (would not give me one of her cards, said she was out) and guess what? I have not heard from her since. This is ontop of the time that I called the office about a week before that and left a meesage with the volunteer cordinator to see if there was time that I could donate to work on constituent (sp?) issues and services. Never heard back from her either (I am not sure, but it might have been the same women). Again, this just seems like a bad way to run an office.
Has anyone else had this kind of trouble with either of these organizations or with other Dems in the state? If so no wonder we get our ass handed to us on a regular basis. We need some disciplined people running these offices that acctually get back in touch with people and give a shite about the normal people out here in the "real world."
Just wanted to vent.
