GOP Twitter Wars

It seems my Father's Day gift to Thom Tillis offended some Republicans and they took to Twitter to let me know just how they feel. Mark Cates of Asheville was offended that I would use a high holy Hallmark holiday to criticize good ol' "traditional" Thom, while No Status Quo called me a "condescending POS" as he or she hid behind the safety of a pseudonym.

Cates also said he was embarrassed for us at BlueNC. Honestly, I think it is more embarrassing to be caught holding a date on the calendar in higher regard than the real moms and dads in North Carolina who are struggling to teach, pay college tuition, provide a safe environment for raising their children, find a job, pay medical bills, and put nutritious food on the table due to Thom Tillis's failed Republican agenda.

His message on Twitter tells me that Cates is more worried about a greeting card holiday than moms and dads in North Carolina. That is most definitely worth feeling embarrassed over.

It is only going to get more exciting

Engaged with one of Grover Norquist's employees on Twitter yesterday. He is a Forbes "contributor"...or part of the sponsored content that ruined the Forbes brand. It was fun.

That Forbes "contributor"

is a joke ... who should definitely keep his day job. Oh ... that IS his day job? Hahahaha!

Forbes pays $50 per blog post

...but I'm betting ol' Grover is subsidizing this with sponsored content. Funny that the guy stopped replying when I pointed that out.

The RW Twit brigade

has no room to talk about "using" things to attack people. Any subject at all provides them a segue to attack Obama, or Hillary, or Harry Reid, or (fill in the blank) Democratic candidate/elected official.

No...they have zero room to talk

Fun to see them worried...it means we're doing a good job.

But why

would "no status quo" call you a point of sale? Unless he or she meant part of speech. Or maybe Port of Spain? ;-)

Politicians and their ilk use any calendar date they can, including birthdays, to raise money that is used to attack their opponents.

Hahaha

Piece of steak? Princess of shortness?

Aw, Geez, Thom's peanut gallery is all atwitter!

Now that the hallowed observances are behind us, I would like to take this opportunity to extend an olive branch on behalf of all the moms and dads struggling under the weight of Tillis's oppressive leadership.

If Thom would kindly mark his weight on the stall, the next time he uses the facilities in the People's House, we'll do him a solid by directing the General Assembly Police to standby and dredge him out should he fall in.

No thanks necessary.
