Events Posting Open to All Registered Users - Tuesday Open Thread

All the trees and twiglets in our woods are showing off their new duds. Here are a few pictures from the land we're taking care of while we live on this earth. I have more, but I need to get back out there and don't have time to edit their size.

Does everybody have their tickets to see Michelle Obama?

Dangit....I was in such a rush I forgot why I was posting this open thread in the first place!

When we resurrected the BlueNC calendar, we limited access to posting events to prevent spam. We have had so many requests and so many people are posting events as blog posts that we decided to open up events posting for all registered users.

Please keep events on the calendar to campaign, political, fundraising (nonprofit, party and candidate), progressive issue type events. If you have any questions about whether your event would be appropriate for BlueNC, please feel free to ask. All registered users should now see the word "Event" under the create content section on the left sidebar. Let me know if you have any questions.

I just wanted to give a little recognition

to Rep. Margaret Dickson for the email updates I get from her (and her aides) every few days when the Lege is in session. I'm not in her NC House district, but since all my reps in Raleigh are Republicans, I can't tell you how great it is to get a regular, detailed, organized email about general legislative activity and some of her specific committee activities. I just wanted to publicly thank Rep. Dickson and her legislative aides for that. It costs her office very very little and it's really a nice touch and very informative.

So, THANKS!! :)

Fayetteville/Cumberland pride!!

I'm in Rep. Glazier's district, but Rep. Dickson's district is right next to us, and she is great!! She will be facing some potentially serious GOP opposition in the fall, so please remember her then.

In other open thread news, I'm sitting here in the Fayetteville Clinton HQ, ignoring doing my homework, and greeting people that come in. Call me a newbie, but it's so awesome to be in a presidential campaign's office!!

...it doesn't take much for me.

Do your homework!

Signed....somebody else's mother. :D

B-b-b-b-but....

...it's EVIL corporate law. If I learn about proxies and the fiduciary duties of the board of directors, then I'll have turned my back on the people and lose my populism.

...so really I'm HELPING the Clinton campaign by not doing my homework. Eh...EH...~sigh~

Ewwwww

You'll learn more by helping out. Voluntarism is good for you.

Robin Hayes lied. Nobody died, but thousands of folks lost their jobs.

may your brother rest in peace.

No matter that patriotism is too often the refuge of scoundrels. Dissent, rebellion, and all-around hell-raising remain the true duty of patriots.

Progressive Discussions

Debate Set

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama will debate at the RBC Center in Raleigh (thank you, Mary Easley) on April 27.

Still waiting for additional info...
