The lag between the reopening frenzy and people dying will be a couple of months. “We’re looking at potentially a month or two later that we’re going to see the impact” of the reopening, said Leana Wen, the former Baltimore health commissioner. “You have not seen the impact of reopening yet. I think there’s going to be a very significant lag.”

One BIG element in the NC reopening saga is the GOP's desire to fluff Donald Fucking Trump at the RNC Convention in Charlotte in August. The convention promises to be king of all super-spreader events, recontaminating the Queen City and churning up virus infections in the wake of 50,000 visitors. I say let 'em have it and let 'em die if they want to.

My list of home projects is growing and growing instead of shrinking. I'm getting stuff done, but new stuff keeps coming up. All this rain has taken a toll on my house and my mental health. It all reminds me of lyrics from a song on an album called Deja Vu:
