I won't put this on the front page, but I do have the urge to share. With 4% of the precincts reporting in...

Lamont 60% 6,814
Lieberman 40% 4,586

This is cracking me up. Almost every site covering this is stalling because of the high traffic - even sites used to the traffic. It doesn't bode well for information exchange in November. Methinks some folks will need to pay for extra bandwidth come fall.

Every single person who worked hard for Ned Lamont should take particular pride in the fact that hardly a single CT website is functioning well tonight.

They are, each one, overwhelmed with traffic…and it isn’t merely from CT.

The world is watching, hanging on the results as precinct totals dribble in. It has been a long time since America had a political tale this optimistic, a democratic parable this enlightening, or a politician this inspiring.

It seems there’s life in old Liberty yet.

Win or lose, you have changed the rules. Congratulations.

literally. I found that early on and haven't had it go down yet.

A - I've been on the losing side waiting for the final precincts. Twice we've come from behind in my mother's races. It's terrible on the nerves, but this is just as bad praying the margin will hold.

As Lamont's lead shrinks, I wondered what if Lieberman wins.

And I realized it's almost the same response. There's an energy to be harnessed, and it would have come within a whisker of dethroning a man widely considered to hold one of the safest seats in Congress.

We've got 92 days to whip that energy up into a Kisselly, Shulerly frothy lather.
