Did anyone see the live feed?

I'm charging all the cameras and computers for tomorrow

I'll try to offer some more live feed tonight to make sure it isn't messing up the site. I wish I had some humans who weren't camera shy. The dogs will have to do.

I don't know how smooth it is

This is a freebie. BrianR pointed me to it. We'll see how it works. I'm kinda excited. I was showing live feed of my Jack Russell Terrier staring at the camera. Poor thing gets stage fright something fierce. :D

For some reason the live feed won't work

I'll have the you tube videos up as soon as I can.

Pat Smathers is talking now. We have a lovely crowd and we all braved the rain. James and Jane have a beautiful home.

Sad to miss this... really.

I planned on coming with my 3 children, but just couldn't make it work. With family visiting 9 days out from the primary I couldn't pry myself away.

I know that Roy and Levi (and Frank!) were looking forward to the event. I am sure that you guys are having a great time! I hope you do something like this again in the fall!

It was fantastic!

A huge collection of bloggers, candidates, and bloggercandidates.

The Frank & Sam show was hilarious. I actually had tears coming out of my eyes. :)

And Bob Orr doing a puppet dance will go down in history as one of the most unexpected things I've ever seen...

Amen to all of the above. Move over Capital Steps,

it's Frank and Sam? Or would that be Sam and Frank?

Nice seeing you good BlueNC folks today, including a whole new crew of faces to put with names today. An awesome event. Thanks to James, Jane and Betsy for making it happen.

Estate ver. 5.0 is alive and well!!

I actively oppose gerrymandering. Do you?

Frank deserves top billing. Always.

Thank You!

Ryan and I had a blast! It was a great break from the campaign trail.

And make no mistake, we are all involved with something historic. The confluence of internet communications, grassroots activism, and people-powered independent media is changing politics. I'm glad to be a small part of it.

It was great to see you and meet Ryan. Thank you so much for joining us!

A grand time was had by all...including the candidates.

James and Jane's house, and the setting, is beautiful and the hospitality matched the setting.
Enjoyed meeting more of the candidates and hearing their thoughts and comments. It's clear BlueNC is a real force in the NC political arena. Let's keep doing what we do best...keep 'em honest and tell them what we think.

I was impressed by all the judicial candidates and most of the others. I too got a laugh from Bob Orr's "Pope puppet on a string" dance. Liked him.
He may get my vote. I'm thinking about it.

Only one candidate may have done himself a disservice by his long and repetitive remarks. My opinion.

It was great to finally meet some of the folks I've both agreed with and argued with over the past 2+ years and put faces with the names...and to meet their lovely families. Also, many thanks to Betsy and all the others who played a role in co-ordinating the bash.

Stan!

Glad you got home safely, Stan. It's raining cats and dogs now! We really lucked out with the weather ... even though it didn't seem like it during that first downpour!

Thanks, Anglico

There was a real frog-strangler rain in a few places along I-40 but I'm home...and telling Nan all about what she missed. Thanks again...

Stan Bozarth

It was a pleasure to finally meet you.

I'm sorry that I couldn't stay for everything, but rest assured that we're working hard to get Jim in office.

had a great time

Thanks to James and Jane for opening up their lovely home for the offline gathering. It was a great afternoon meeting so many BlueNC folks and candidates in such a beautiful setting. The NC Netroots rock.

I also have to give props to Bob Orr for his Art Pope Puppetmaster greeting. And we thought Republicans have no sense of humor. :)

Also, a shoutout to Colleen Flanagan -- very nice to meet you; still on the lookout for Senator Hagan's answers to my questions!

Priceless

I'm sure Bob will catch somebody's ire for his visit to enemy territory, but I want to applaud him. He comments about politics were insightful - as always - and his willingness to connect with us was both generous and much appreciated. I think he picked up a couple of votes, too.

Great to see you, Pam. We have to stop meeting like this!

:)

Great Job by Orr

I doubt there were very few people who would agree with Mr. Orr on most issues. But he showed up, and he gave a good speech about trying to move this state forward.

I hope this isnt Bob's last race.

"Keep the Faith"

"Keep the Faith"

I told him I don't agree with him on much of anything

but if he makes it through the primary, I just might vote for him. Unless Col. Neilsen wins our primary.

There you have it folks. I'm not voting for Bev. or Richard. I'm going to vote for Dennis, because he looked me in the eye and said he learned alot about mental health after the mental health forum where I confronted him about not believing in government.

Do I know he's not going to win? Yes. But he gives me a way to make a statement against the Perdue and Moore bloodbath - that is everything I hate in politics all balled up into one race.

Ha! I decided the same thing as he spoke yesterday

I've been so thoroughly disgusted by Richard Moore's campaign - not the man, the campaign. I appreciate Bev Perdue's apology and positive approach in the final weeks and do think she's going to win if the numbers haven't changed dramatically, but I think Col. Neilsen was sincere and seemed to be willing to listen to other voices even while wanting his own heard. He seemed humbled by what he learned from others on the campaign trail and I look forward to his live-blog tomorrow evening.

Besides, if the aliens (or the Canadians)

ever invade North Carolina, we really need a Governor who can take off his tie, pull on a flight suit, fire up the afterburners and go kick some ass.

It's about being prepared people. /;)

me, too.

They do! omg ... come to think of it ...

they talk like Canadians!! I swear, that Pettinjer(sp) guy might be on to something.

"Hi! I'm Hampton Dellinger!" :)

From that point on it was all I could do just to suck some oxygen into my lungs between laughs.

It made me think of a very famous scene

"I'm Hampton Dellinger!" "No, I'm Hampton Dellinger."

You're a good sport, Hampton - wait till you see the video. :-D
