As this election season moves into the final stages, it's worth recapping the pros and cons of candidates surrounded by controversy. One of least appealing among them is the guy named Madison Cawthorn. He's pictured here, wrapped in the American flag, insulting patriots and veterans who fought and died to protect the country it stands for.
Any true patriot knows that treating the flag like an overcoat expressly violates the US Flag Code:
The wearing of the flag is listed as unacceptable according to U.S. flag code section 176 (d) which states, "The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery."
Naturally, Cawthorn doesn't actually give a damn about honoring the flag, the military, or any other kind of decency. The flag is just a prop for his Captain America ego, back by exactly nothing of substance. You'll remember, for example, that Cawthorn has lied a dozen times about the fact that he was never, ever accepted into the US Naval Academy. He said he didn't go to the Academy because of an automobile accident. That's bullshit. He didn't go because they didn't want him. He was rejected well before that accident and he's been lying about it ever since.
